Victoria Street Market

Venture down to the Victoris Street Market on the corner of queen and Victoria Street Market Wet Streets in Durban Central and step into a sensory explosion of Aten ture. Here the smell of incense and spices pervades the phere where over 180 traders sell their produce. You will find all maer of delightful food and spices, including a fish market, one of South Africa's premier tourist destinations that is rich in culture and heritage. Experience the hustle and bustle of one of the oldest markets in Durban.

Wilson's Wharf

With its incomparable harbour views, Wilson's Wharf is Durban's trendiest fusion of fun food, top shows and crafts, blended with the rustic interface of a boating marina and working slipways. Shops contain a wide range of crats and speciality items, while the 165-seat intimate Catalina Theatre brings shows to Durban's only stage with bay vistas. The Marina offers deep-sea fishing charters daily, or visitors may take their pick of the catch of the day from a full range of seafood at the wharf-side fresh fish market.

The Workshop Centre

The Workshop is an iconk, heritage rich building embraced in the vibrant heart of the CBD. It was transformed from a railway workshop originally built in 1860 Into a modem shopping centre. Safety upgrades, expansion and rigorous renovations have restored, replenished and shaken off the dust to reveal a brand new shopping experience. The character and charm of a bygone era is complemented by state of the art finishes, resulting in a remarkable contrast of vintage and vogue. In addition to a wide choice of luxury brands, top national retailers and popular eateries, The Workshop boasts the largest curio shop in South Africa.

Windermere Shopping Centre

Windermere Centre has been a firm favourite among Morningside residents for many years as a meeting place and shopping destination catering for just about every need. The centre offers shoppers a mix of retailers that provide for day to day necessities as well as life's little luxuries. Windermere Centre underwent an extensive renovation a few years back and is very accessible, and free parking makes shopping a breeze. Several entrances and exits welcome pedestrians and the Installation of a lift makes visiting multiple shops extremely convenient.

Musgrave Shopping Centre

Musgrave Centre offers a unique, cosmopolitan shopping experience for the disceming buyer in search of the best that is available from decor shops to boutiques that stock the latest fashions. The elegant restaurants and cafés on all three shopping levels offer delectable refreshments as well as top quality service, and patrons can take in a movie on the upper level. Durban Car Boot Fleamarket

The Car Boot Fleamarket is the oldest of its kind in the city of Durban, having been established in 1992. It is situated on the old circus site behind the Greyville Racecourse and offers plenty of free parking for those wanting to peruse the many stalls. It is also kept safe and secure by experienced security personnel. It is a great option for the thrifty buyer. This market is open every Sunday from the early morning.

Night life experience

Despite its laid-back approach to life, Durban boasts a pretty impressive nightlife scene. From chilled cocktail lounges to banging nightclubs and music to chilled bars, a night out caters to a variety of tastes and can be enjoyed all over the city and surrounding suburbs. The key areas include Road and Windermere Road in Morningside, which offer a great variety of restaurants in street cafe settings and very vibey pubs and clubs.
